I got the idea to make epsom salt Luminaries/votive holders from this website via pinterest.http://www.gleefulthings.com/blog/?p=2432. I used old flower vases and inexpensive votive holders from AC Moore. To make the color I added food coloring to the mod podge. Adding food coloring to the salt itself gave it an effect I wasn't thrilled with - but you can try both ways. Its no big deal if you don't like it - you can just wash it right off if you haven't sprayed it with the sealer yet. Fun, easy and pretty. http://www.gleefulthings.com/blog/?p=2432

More Ornaments
My family has always been big into our baked goods - making our own array of cookies each holiday season. I mad this ornament to honor an old obsession of all of ours from our local German bakery - THE BLACK AND WHITE COOKIE. Cake meets cookie in a divine white vs chocolate icing battle. yum! My first cookie ornament HAD to be the black-and-white!
Ornaments
I'm not particularly religious, but my family is. So, I made up this ornament depicting the virgin Mary & baby Jesus. I think it came out pretty good. Sent one to each of my and my husband's immediate family.
